Liminka Bay Visitor Centre, the main nature attraction in Oulu area, offers insights into the life of birds. The Visitor Centre’s interactive exhibition “The eight seasons of a bird’s life” offers experiences for visitors of all ages.
The Visitor Centre provides its customers with daily guide services by Metsähallitus, restaurant, shop, a hotel and conference facilities. The roughly 200 species of birds in the area can also be watched using binoculars the Visitor Centre lends out. There is a two-storey birdwatching tower about 600 metres from the Visitor Centre. The wide duckboard path is well-suited for persons with reduced mobility and baby carriages. There is also a campfire place and a small play area for children by the Visitor Centre. The Visitor Centre also allows camping van or trailer parking for a small fee.
