Liminka Bay is one of the most significant wetlands in Europe. The area belongs to the international network of Ramsar wetland areas. The land uplift caused by the Ice Age has shaped the shore habitats of Liminka Bay, and they are home to a wide variety of species. Liminka Bay is an internationally significant resting and nesting site for migratory birds. More than 160 bird species nest in the Liminka Bay area and a total of 289 bird species have been sighted at the area.
This tour will give you an excellent possibility to dive into the very fascinating world of birds without having to be any kind of expert on the matter. You get to view the birds with a professional guide from the bird watching tower and hear about the year circle of birds and Finnish nature.
After the tour have the possibility for the free visit at the Eight season of birds -indoor exhibition. Café and the souvenir shop are open.

All tours are available in the summer season 1st June – 30th September 2026, for minimum 4 persons / departure.
The minimum number of participants can consist of several bookings.
Tours include safety equipment when needed. Service providers liability insurance applies, covering injuries caused by the provided gear.
All tours are guided and all prices incl. VAT.
We recommend a personal travel insurance covering personal belongings and injuries not covered by the company insurance.
Service provider is the responsible operator of each tour and tours operated by service provider and its partners.
Kindly note: weather conditions can change quickly on the arctic coast of Finland and our tours are always adapted to the prevailing weather conditions to obtain safety and maximize comfort of the guests.
Bookings are to be made by e-mail to service providers. A booking shall include the following information: date and time of booked activity, first and last names of all participants, ages of children, travel dates, accommodation in Liminka and a phone number where you can be reached during your stay in Finland.
