Liminka has something to do all year round. The Liminka Bay Visitor Centre is a must, a bucket list destination. The Visitor Centre’s year-round exhibition with a free entry, ‘The Eight Seasons of Birds’, will tell you about the life of birds around the most popular bird wetland in Finland.

In Alakestilä Arboretum, you can admire over 200 different species of trees, bushes and plants. Hungry for adventure? Head to Liisanlinna. This wooden castle, sometimes called as the northernmost wooden castle in Europe, offers adventures of many kinds to groups of visitors. A local guide will help you to explore the nature and the views of Liminka in even more depth.

The Arboretum is the third oldest arboretum in Finland. You can admire nearly 200 different species of wood-stemmed plants. The park is at its lushest during the summer.
